Barcelona FC website has announced first team pre-season will start in Poland next July 20th.
Tito Vilanovas’ players will play in three European countries and two Asian, after passing Israel and Palestine.
In total, more than 30,000 kms in just 21 days that will get ready Barça to face next La Liga 2013-14.
First game will be in Poland against Lechia Gdansk that is already looking forward to hosting one of the world’s best clubs ever. The Polish team is announcing the tickets to watch this match on its website hoping the Spanish football club receive all support from Lechia Gdansk’s fans.
Second stop will be in German city Munich on July 24th, and from there they’ll flight to Oslo to play on the 27th. Then the Catalan team will go back to Barcelona, from where they’ll go to Israel and Palestine at the beginning of August, when they’ll make a clinic for two days (3rd and 4th).
From Tel Aviv they’ll travel to Bangkok to face the Thai National Team on the 7th and say goodbye to their pre-season tour in Kuala Lumpur on the 10th.
Having a look at this tour, we can see how FC Barcelona carries on betting on their Asian fans, not just by offering them all info related to the club in their languages through social media but also by visiting them often and giving them the chance of enjoying watching their stars playing at Asian stadiums.
Similar what Barça is doing in Asia is Real Madrid doing in the States. The Whites are starting the pre-season tour next July 22nd in Istanbul but as they did last pre-season 2012-13 they’ll mainly play in USA, where they’re getting more and more loved by Americans fans.
From the 28th of July until the 11th of August Real Madrid’s stars will play four friendly matches in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Washington and Miami.
Some years ago Real Madrid used to travel around Asia to get ready the next season by facing Asian teams. Asian fans loved the club and all related to it, including merchandising that gave the Spanish club million of Euros. Now that fashion seems to be far away from Real Madrid’s objectives as they are focus on the North American market as Barcelona have already conquered Asia.
