Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal has just been amazingly knocked out in the first round at Wimbledon by almost unknown Belgian Steve Darcis.
The world’s 135th ranked-player sent home Nadal after beating him 7-6, 7-6 and 6-4 in three hours. This is an unusual beating for the Spaniard, who had never lost in a Grand Slam first-round.
But the problem is not Rafa having lost but his knee, as we all could see how he suffered during the match, specially in the third and last set. The former world’s number 1 should take a break and check his knee out before starting thinking in playing again at the highest level.
Hasta la vista, Rafa, hasta la vista. For some of us Wimbledon won’t be the same this year without you in the final.
